The role
A Good Reason is looking for an Event Production Assistant to support the details that bring an event from plan to place.
What you will do
- • Support event preparation and production logistics
- • Assist with event setup, styling, placement and breakdown
- • Help maintain timelines, checklists and production documents
- • Support vendor and collaborator arrivals on event days
- • Help ensure guest-facing details are placed and presented as intended
- • Assist the lead producer or coordinator throughout event execution
- • Track small but important details as plans evolve
- • Communicate changes, questions and potential issues promptly
- • Help keep production spaces organized and event-ready
- • Represent A Good Reason professionally with clients, guests, venues and creative partners
What we are looking for
Required
- • Exceptionally dependable and punctual

- • Comfortable working collaboratively and taking direction
- • Able to remain composed in active event environments
- • Comfortable with evening and weekend event work
- • Able to perform hands-on event setup and breakdown responsibilities appropriate to the assignment
- • Reliable transportation to event locations as required
- • Based in or able to reliably work throughout the Maryland event market
Preferred
- • Previous experience in events, hospitality, production, weddings, restaurants, venues or guest services
- • Experience working with timelines, floor plans or event-day production documents
- • Familiarity with event rentals, tablescapes, styling or production setup
- • Experience communicating with vendors or creative partners
Availability and schedule
Events may take place on weekdays, evenings and weekends. Hours will vary by event and assignment. This role is best suited to someone with flexibility around event dates and the ability to commit reliably once scheduled.
Flexible, event-based schedule. Evening and weekend availability is important.
Location and travel
A Good Reason is based in Maryland. Work may take place at venues and event locations throughout Maryland and, depending on the project, the surrounding region. Reliable transportation to assigned event locations is important.
