Five ways of working.

Every engagement begins with creative direction. What differs is how far into planning, production and the day itself the studio carries it.

  1. 01

    The Idea

    Creative Direction

For hosts and teams who already have the occasion in hand and need the thinking behind it. We develop the concept, the visual language and the framework for how the evening moves, then document it clearly enough for your team to build from.

Direction and design. Planning and production sit with your team.

  2. 02

    The Gathering

    Private Events

Private dinners, milestones, family occasions and celebrations that want more than an idea on paper. Creative direction paired with tailored planning and production support, scoped to what the occasion actually requires.

Direction and design, with planning and production scoped per occasion.

  3. 03

    The Whole Reason

    Full Service

The studio carries the occasion end to end: concept, design, guest experience, collaborators, budget and schedule, build and strike, and the studio on site running the day.

Direction through execution. AGR is responsible for the whole of it.

  4. 04

    A Very Good Reason

    Weddings

A wedding is a very good reason. We work as a single creative and production partner across the weekend. The idea, the visual world, the hospitality, the paper, the collaborators and the execution are built around the two of you rather than a template.

Direction through execution, across the full weekend.

  5. 05

    The Experience

    Brands & Corporate

Brand experiences, launches, press dinners, activations and internal gatherings. We work from the objective outward, so the room reads as the brand and gives people a reason to arrive, to stay and to say something about it afterwards.

Direction through production, calibrated to the objective.

Where direction ends and production begins

Direction and design

The idea, the visual language and the guest experience, resolved on paper: what the occasion is for, how it looks, and how the evening moves. Present in every engagement.

Planning

Schedule, budget, collaborators, contracts and the run of show. Included in full-service work; scoped to the occasion in The Gathering; held by your own team in The Idea.

Production and the day

Build, install, cues, strike and the studio on site running it. Where the drawing becomes a room, and the host gets to be a guest.

Not every engagement includes every capability. Scope is agreed in writing before any work begins.

Investment

Every occasion asks something different of us.

Every engagement is individually scoped around the occasion, the level of creative direction, planning responsibility and production required.

Scale, complexity, timeline, production requirements and the level of responsibility the studio carries all shape what an engagement becomes.

Tell us your reason and we'll shape the right engagement around it.

Within an engagement

The work itself.

  1. 01

    Creative Direction

The idea behind the occasion, and the discipline to hold it across every decision.

  2. 02

    Event Design

Space, material, light, table and print, considered as one visual language.

  3. 03

    Experience & Guest Journey

Arrival to departure, considered as a sequence: where people gather, what they discover, what makes them stay.

  4. 04

    Planning & Production

Schedules, logistics, collaborators and the unglamorous work that lets the room feel effortless.

  5. 05

    Event-Day Execution

The studio on site: build, run of show, cues and strike, so the host is a guest at their own occasion.

  6. 06

    Vendor Curation

The right creative partners, makers and specialists, chosen for the occasion and briefed with intention.

  7. 07

    Event Identity & Collateral

Naming, typography, invitations, menus and paper made specifically for the gathering.
